Message from the President

Happy Holidays CAI Alabama!!!

What a Great Year with a fantastic finish at the Awards Gala and Casino Night. Click here to view  photos from the event. Thank you all for coming to the event and for all of the support you have provided throughout the year. This year we met our big goal of becoming a Statewide Chapter with the addition of regional councils and adding several events, (totaling 32) throughout the state with great success.  We nearly met our other goal of growing to 250 members this year only falling short by a few.

Thank you all for spreading the word about what we do and for being so involved in the councils and events.  Your support has really helped our chapter succeed and it really gives hope for an even better future. Finishing off a Great Year with an even better event was fantastic!  Thanks to our Social Committee for coming up with the idea for our first ever Casino Night.  I do believe that we are not likely to go back to the old awards gala format!!!  Once again, thank you all for letting me serve our chapter as your President this last year and I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

All the Best,

Roy Kalista, RS

Upcoming Webinar

Start the new year with the webinar "OUTRUNNING BURNOUT and CHASING HAPPINESS" on January 11, 2024 at 11:30am central time!

CAI Alabama Ask the Expert Webinar

Thursday, January 11, 2024
11:30am-12:30pm central

There are a number of reasons why professionals believe that they are burned out, some real and some imagined. In this class, attorney and professional coach David Graf discusses the six common reasons why experienced professional and newer managers experience burnout and how they can address those issues to increase their performance in work and life. However, addressing burnout is only part of the issue; many professionals who successfully outrun burnout remain chasing happiness as if it were an elusive state that can only exist some time and at some place in the future. This webinar will give the tools to be more satisfied and more productive in your professional career.

Speaker
David J. Graf, Esq., Moeller Graf, P.C., Englewood, Colo.

What It Means And What It Takes To Be An Effective Community Association Manager

By Lydia Pelliccia and CAMICB Executive Director, Matthew Green, CAE

Knowledgeable, committed community association managers are the professional mainstay of the communities they serve, providing the skills and expertise that are essential to the effective management of their homeowner associations.  These managers are dedicated to their career and take specific paths to further their professional knowledge and skill sets. For example, holding the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) credential – offered by the Community Associations Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB), is a mark of proficiency and high quality and is the only internationally accredited certification program in the world for managers of homeowner and condominium associations and cooperatives.
