Best of Alabama Communities Awards

Nominate and vote for your favorite community association!

The CAI Alabama Chapter is proud to launch the inaugural Best of Alabama Communities Awards, a statewide initiative recognizing outstanding homeowners and condominium owners associations across Alabama.

These awards celebrate the dedication of community associations, volunteer board members, and professional managers who work every day to foster vibrant, well-managed, and engaged communities.

Any homeowner association (HOA) or condominium community located in Alabama may be nominated. CAI membership is not required. Communities may be nominated for one Regional Award category and may also be considered for one Statewide Specialty Award recognizing community spirit or innovation. Nominations will be accepted August 1 - September 20. Nominations are open to everyone. Board members, residents, managers, business partners, and community volunteers are encouraged to submit a nomination.

Public voting is open to everyone. Voting will take place October 1-10 and will determine the winners of the four Regional Award categories. The Community Spirit & Engagement Award and Innovative Community Project Award will be selected by an independent review committee.

Winning Communities Receive

Winning communities will receive special recognition through the Best of Alabama Communities Awards program, including:

• A custom “Best of Alabama Communities” recognition sign for display within the community
• A complimentary one-year CAI Homeowner Leader Membership for the Board
• Free access for board members to CAI Alabama educational events and workshops for one year
• Recognition through CAI Alabama’s website, newsletters, social media, and promotional channels

Winners will be announced and recognized at the CAI Alabama Annual Awards Luncheon on November 12, 2026, at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
