Best of Alabama Communities Awards
Celebrating outstanding HOA and condominium communities across Alabama
The CAI Alabama Chapter is proud to present the inaugural Best of Alabama Communities Awards, a statewide program recognizing homeowner and condominium associations that strengthen their communities through leadership, engagement, innovation, and meaningful initiatives.
Any HOA or condominium community located in Alabama may be nominated. CAI membership is not required. Residents, board members, community managers, business partners, and community volunteers are all encouraged to participate.
Nominations: August 1–September 20, 2026
Public Voting: October 1–10, 2026
Winners Announced: November 12, 2026, at the CAI Alabama Annual Awards Luncheon at Huntsville Botanical Gardens
Award Categories
Four Regional People’s Choice Awards will be determined by public voting:
- Huntsville/North Alabama
- Birmingham/Central Alabama
- Montgomery/River Region
- Gulf Coast/South Alabama
Two Statewide Excellence Awards will be selected by an independent review committee:
- Community Spirit & Engagement
- Innovative Community Project
Statewide Excellence Award submissions must highlight a specific initiative, program, tradition, campaign, project, or meaningful advancement. A community may enter its regional category and one or both statewide categories but may receive only one award. All nominated communities
Nominated Community Recognition
Each nominated community will receive two complimentary tickets to the CAI Alabama Annual Awards Luncheon, where the winners will be announced.
Advance RSVP is required. Additional tickets will be available for purchase.
Winning Communities Receive
Winning communities will receive:
- A custom Best of Alabama Communities recognition sign, including installation
- A complimentary one-year CAI Alabama Homeowner Leader Membership for the entire Board
- Free CAI Alabama educational events for the entire Board for one year
- Recognition at the CAI Alabama Annual Awards Luncheon
- Recognition through CAI Alabama’s website, newsletter, social media, and promotional channels
